DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF ACUTE INTESTINAL OBSTRUCTION OF NON-TUMOR ORIGIN

Abstract
The issues of modern diagnostics and treatment tactics of acute intestinal obstruction (AIO) are extremely relevant for emergency abdominal surgery due to the steady increase in the number of patients and high postoperative mortality. The share of AIO is up to 10% of all emergency diseases of the abdominal cavity. The most common is acute small intestinal obstruction - 60-70%, less common is large intestinal obstruction - 30-40% of cases. The causes of acute small intestinal obstruction can be adhesive (63%), strangulation (28%), obstructive obstruction of non-tumor genesis (7%), others (2%); acute large intestinal obstruction - tumor obstruction (93%), volvulus of the colon (4%), others 3% [1, 2, 3]. Mortality in this emergency pathology remains high, reaching 15-40%. Early surgical intervention based on accurate determination of the localization of obstruction improves the prognosis and results of surgical treatment [2, 4, 5].
