Abstract
Mind is an independent identifying token of human beings in this vast universe. According to the rule of evolution the expression of mind is next to life. Whatever this introspective mind thinks is the expression through the extrovert language and this dialect is the part of language. In Bengali language there are five dialects and of them one is jharkhandi. This jharkhandi dialect is customary in many districts. One of them is Paschim Medinipur. Besides, this dialect is introduced in Bankura and Purulia also. Paschim Medinipur is a wide district. As a result here we find the differences of regional languages among various regions. In this region the difference of regional language is different from other dialects and in these areas the used dialects are quite spontaneous . The people of Paschim Medinipur keep up their own culture through the use of their dialects. Infact whatever they use as the expression of medium of their dialect is their own i.e.,inborn or gained from environment. W. Nelson Fransis considered this use of language as the principle social aspect. He said , “The first point we must take about language then is that it is a social rather than a biological aspect of human life.” The use of dialect in different regions of Paschim Medinipur district is excellent as well as glorious. In many region of this district Keshpur, Jhargram, Panskura, Medinipur Sadar, Ghatal, Khargapur, Binpur etc. People use nominal verbs at random and apply nasal tone in using sounds or voices. Having many mistakes in their pronunciation we find the change of meaning of a word and distortion of sounds. The people of these regions utter unaspirated like aspirated such as du>dhu. Like this, they use the inflection ‘KA’at random. Infect these characters of sound and philology are inherent in these regions. In using these collection of sound and dialect they exchange their feelings and get much pleasure as well as feel comfortable. The periphery of this dialect and its familiarity is so much vivid that it add deep affection to create literature. Above all ,it may be said that the collection of sound and dialect that are used by the people of Paschim Medinipur are enriched with life ,motivated by mind and coloured with their consciousness.
