DIE AUSWIRKUNGEN DER EU-MITGLIEDSCHAFT VON REPUBLIK ZYPERN ZUR VERHANDLUNGSGESPRÄCHEN FÜR FRIEDEN IN ZYPERN

Abstract
Diese Arbeit konzentriert sich auf die Frage, wieso der EU-Mitgliedschaft von Republik Zypern kein Katalysator für die Verhandlungsgespräche für Frieden in Zypern sein konnte. In dem ersten Teil wurde ein Überblick über die historischen Grundlagen der EU-Beitrittsprozess von Republik Zypern beigegeben. Danach wurde mit Hilfe der Daten-Inhaltsanalyse probiert, die politischen Gründe für die Ablehnung des Annan-Plans durch die Zyperngriechen im Detail offen zutage liegen und die Auswirkungen des EU-Beitritts von griechischen Zyprioten zur Verhandlungsgesprächen für Frieden in Zypern darstellen. Die vorgelegte Arbeit bemühte sich darum, in allen Erläuterungen so präzise und neutral wie möglich zu sein, um Redundanz zu vermeiden. Fernerhin wollte sie als Basis für weiterführende empirische Forschung dienen; es soll mit der vorliegende Forschung ein gewisser Beitrag zur Diskussion über die Zypernfrage geboten werden.
