Diet, gut microbiota and inflammatory bowel disease
Journal Title: Biomedical Transformation - Year 2021, Vol 2, Issue 3
Abstract
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a chronic immune related inflammatory disease of gastroin‐ testinal tract. At present, the pathogenesis of IBD is still not very clear, which is related to genetic factors, immune disorders, environmental factors (such as diet) and gut microbiota. It is generally believed that diet is an important environmental factor for the occurrence and development of IBD, and the interaction between diet and gut micro‐ biota is complicated. Our review mainly discusses the effects of diet, microbiota and the interaction between diet and microbiota on IBD.
