Difficultes de prise en charge infirmiere des patients Diabetiques dans les centres hospitaliers Universitaires De Lome

Abstract
L’épidémie du diabète constitue un fléau mondial. En Afrique subsaharienne cette épidémie constitue une menace importante. Cette étude avait pour objectif d’identifier les difficultés liées à la prise en charge infirmière des patients diabétiques. L’étude a permis de relever l’insuffisance de personnel infirmier, le manque de moyens financiers des patients, le problème de communication, l’absence de support de démarche de soins, de protocole de suivi et de protocole de prise en charge incluant l’Education Thérapeutique du Patient (ETP) comme difficultés majeures liées à la prise en charge infirmière des patients diabétiques dans les services de médecine interne du CHU SO, de médecine interne et de neurologie du CHU Campus. Nous retenons donc que la prise en charge infirmière des patients diabétiques se heurte à plusieurs difficultés. Cette étude peut contribuer à l’amélioration des stratégies nationales ou locales de lutte contre le diabète.
