Diminishing Profession of a Librarian: An alert

Abstract
Nowadays, wherever the vacancies are being advertised for the position of librarians, it is highly disgusting to see that the position is degraded either by changing the grade pay or by changing the existing designation of library professionals. The paper tries to give an alert for the library professionals and an appeal to the persons sitting on highest positions in the institutes of repute and various associations to safeguard the charm of the profession.
