DIPLOMATIC IMMUNITY: PRIVILEGE OR IMPUNITY?

Abstract

This article is devoted to the study of the issue of diplomatic immunity. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of controversial statements by scholars regarding the absolute nature of diplomatic immunity. The article reveals the features of the possibility of bringing a diplomatic representative to responsibility. The issue of the misuse of diplomats' rights and privileges granted to them by diplomats with numerous examples is highlighted and investigated.
