Journal Title: Здоров`я дитини - Year 2015, Vol 2, Issue 62

Abstract

The article considers the phenomenon of infantile colic, the causes and mechanism of which still remain poorly understood. The clinical manifestations and diagnostic criteria of colic are described. Various modern hypothesis of the occurrence and development of infantile colic are analyzed in detail, but none of them can integrate all the facts. The theories of gastrointestinal disorders and abdominal pain, psychomotor development, psychosocial problems and hypotheses about the relationship of infant colic with migraine are considered.
