Drug Delivery Systems: A New Frontier in Nano-technology
Journal Title: International Journal of Medical Research & Health Sciences (IJMRHS) - Year 2017, Vol 6, Issue 9
Abstract
Nano-technology is a recent advancement in science, defned as “Science, engineering, and technology conducted at the Nano scale†(National nanotechnology initiatives in USA). Applications of Nano-technology cover a vast range from basic material science, personal care applications, agriculture, and medicine. Nano-technology is used in feld of medicine for treatment, diagnostic, monitoring, genetic engineering, and drug delivery. There are two main types of Nano Particles (NPs) used in drug delivery; organic NPs and inorganic NPs. In drug delivery, the drug-NanoParticle (NP) conjugate should be able to deliver drugs to the target site without degradation in gastrointestinal track and without reducing drug activity. Further, it should attack to target cells without causing any adverse effects. The ultimate goal of NP drug delivery is to improve proper treatment, effectiveness, less side effects with safety and patient adherence as well as reduction in the cost.

A STUDY ON CORRELATION BETWEEN POSTERIOR CAPSULAR OPACIFICATION AND VISUAL FUNCTION BEFORE AND AFTER NEODYMIUM: YAG LASER POSTERIOR CAPSULOTOMY IN RURAL POPULATION OF NORTH MAHARASHTRA
Posterior capsular opacification is the opacity which follows after extra capsular cataract extraction and can be treated by surgery or laser. The laser is the procedure of choice because it is non invasive, outpatient...
Effect of kinesio-taping on ankle joint stability
Ankle Instability is characterized by recurrent giving way and often develops after repeated lateral ankle sprains. Kinesiotape is more elastic than traditional athletic tape and is becoming increasingly popular. It is...
MEDICAL UNCERTAINTY: ARE WE BETTER OFF IN ERA OF EVIDENCE BASED MEDICINE?
