E-Service Quality Management
Journal Title: Journal of Applied Quantitative Methods - Year 2009, Vol 4, Issue 3
Abstract
A characteristic of today’s society is the increasing use of modern information and communication technologies in all areas. Computer applications, called e-services, are being developed to provide efficient access to services, electronically. Quality management systems are needed to provide a consistent way to select, evaluate, prioritize and plan the right eservices. The increasing use of e-services has raised the need to define standards and means to assess and assure quality. Investment in e-services is an important step to improve the quality of life in our dynamic society. After a brief introduction that describes the adoption of electronic services in individuals’ daily routine and the need for quality management, this article defines in its second chapter terms and concepts that are part of the Quality Management Framework. Then, the third chapter describes what e-services are, how they are classified and also their benefits to the user followed in the forth chapter by definition of means to evaluate and metrics to measure the quality of e-services. In the end, this article restates the benefits of e-services, the need for eservice quality management and unveils future development initiatives in domain.

ANALYSIS AND COMPARISON OF UNDER FIVE CHILD MORTALITY BETWEEN RURAL AND URBAN AREA IN BANGLADESH
Knowledge of factors that affect the under-five year child mortality is important because it pertains to policy and programs. Causes and differences of under-five mortality between rural and urban area help decision make...
The Application of Mixture Modeling and Information Criteria for Discovering Patterns of Coronary Heart Disease
This paper’s purpose is twofold: first it addresses the adequacy of some theoretical information criteria when using finite mixture modelling (unsupervised learning) on discovering patterns in continuous data; second, we...
Generalized Burr-Hatke Equation as Generator of a Homographic Failure Rate
Starting from a generalized form of Burr-Hatke differential equation namely dϕ / dx = u(x) ⋅ϕ [sup]a[/sup] + v(x) ⋅ϕ [sup]b[/sup] (see for details [18]), we obtain – for peculiar choices of u, v, a and b – as a solutio...
The Volatility Premium Risk: Valuation and Forecasting
Empirical studies, such as Lamoureux and Lastrapes (1993), Guo (1998), Fouque et al. (2000) show that the market price of volatility risk is nonzero and time varying. This paper provides a theoretical investigation of th...
A Non-Parametric Test for a Change-Point in Linear Profile Data
We propose a change-point approach for testing the constancy of regression parameters in a linear profile data set (panel data in econometrics). Each sample collected over time in the historical data set consists of sev...
