Earthquake Risk Assessment – Effect of a Seismic Event in a Moderate Seismic Area
Journal Title: Acta Technica Jaurinensis - Year 2016, Vol 9, Issue 1
Abstract
This paper presents the process of earthquake risk analysis from the probabilistic determination of seismic hazard and local site effects, through the evaluation of building vulnerability to an event resulting in seismic risk maps. These results can then serve as useful tools for decision makers and insurance companies, and can be applied directly to overall risk management plans of cities. Finally a case study for seismic risk assessment performed in city of Győr is presented, taking into account local site effects based on response analysis with more than 6000 realizations and rapid visual screening of 5000 building to obtain the seismic risk.

Spectral Reconstruction with Genetic Optimization in Case of Different Sample Sets
Finding the spectral features of color sample sets is a main issue of colorimetry. It is widespread to apply Principal Component Analysis in these researches. Several studies were written about the reconstruction of samp...
Design Considerations by the Optimisation of PMS Motors
The determination of the targets, the input, implicit and design parameter is very important part in the design optimisation of the permanent magnetic synchronous motors for electric vehicles. We had to define the connec...
Creating a two-way Land-Use and Transport Interaction model for Budapest
This paper intends to show that despite limited data availability it is still possible to elaborate semi-sophisticated LUTI models which can be a stepping stone for countries that are less developed in terms of transport...
Power Semiconductor Trends in Electric Drive Systems
Nowadays lots of big brands (like Tesla, Nissan, Audi etc.) deal with electric cars and electric drive systems. The first brand deals with only electric drive systems and everyone know this name. These cars are more envi...
