Echoes of Romanticism among Revival Pioneers of Kuwait Poets: Study Content
Journal Title: مجلة الزرقاء للبحوث والدراسات الإنسانية - Year 2018, Vol 18, Issue 3
Abstract
It is not the aim of this research to examine the definitions of Romanticism but also the circumstances of its inception، the factors of its emersion، its criticism، or the theoretical aspects of the concept. This is due to the large number of studies that have delved into the depths of this term، and dealt with those topics to the point that coming up with anything new became almost impossible. Therefore، this study was limited to investigating the features of this movement – as defined by the Contemporary Arabic Critical Discourse – in the works of three Kuwaiti poets: Fahad Al Askar (1917- 1951)، Ahmed Al Adwani (1923- 1990)، and Abdul Mohsen Al-Rasheed (1927- 2008); as this movement is considered as one of the most important foreign influences in modern Arabic poetry، whether in Kuwait or in other Arab countries in general.
