Ecological and economic component of the reconstruction of the Donetsk region

Abstract
The article describes the ecological and economic component of the Donetsk Region recovery strategy. The authors analyze the environmental consequences of the military conflict in eastern Ukraine. Special attention is paid to financing of environmental protection activities in the Donetsk region. The main proposals of the authors include the following: conducting an ecological and economic analysis of the consequences of the military conflict and possible ways of restoring the region on the principles of sustainable development; development of national, regional and local programs to overcome negative environmental consequences of hostilities.
