EDUCATIONAL, SOCIAL AND CULTURAL ACTIVITIES SUPPORTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF A MODERN MAN

Abstract
Educational, social and cultural activities play an important part in supporting the development of a modern man. Modern times require extensive knowledge and skills as well as adaptability to new conditions. Contemporary changes provoke a man to develop new system of values and improve the existing ones. Education, social work, participation in cultural events can help in the development of every man. The essence of education and so called lifelong learning is intentional, planned and rational impact on human development at every stage of his life. The most important aim of the educational changes is to eliminate defects of a functioning system maintaining its advantages. One of the most important activities of a modern man are to aid institutions, which are aimed at assisting particular individuals, social groups and local communities. Social work is a form of a state’s social help and its purpose is to help and support individuals and families or recover the ability to function in the society. Social assistance is one of the most important points of view of social pedagogy on upbringing.
