Abstract
Artykuł przedstawia przebieg procesu edukacji młodzieży szlacheckiej w średniowiecznej Europie. Jest też próbą obalenia stereotypów dotyczących wiedzy o średniowieczu. Z perspektywy pedagogicznej jest z kolei analizą zjawiska rekonstrukcji historycznych wieków średnich. Autor skupia się na opisie etosu rycerskiego, wskazując na potencjalne źródła wzorców dla współczesnych rekonstruktorów. Przekazuje również liczne ciekawostki związane z rycerstwem jako klasą społeczną, ilustrując cechy dla tej grupy charakterystyczne.
