Abstract
Very often, there is a positive result of the process of training in sport. However, one can not draw a conclusion about suitability and success of training process according only to positive result. Any kind of process that makes sense is not necessarily successful. In addition to positive results, process should include rational application of means and methods and, in terms of sport, training load also. One of the key points of the rationalization of the top athletes training is management in the training process, that is its control and steering. Problem of this research is management of power training in sport and its consequences. The aim is to set the effects of management of power training by parallel analysis of the two different approaches to its realization. (Rational and schematic). 15 elite woman basketball players were split in two groups. 1st group that was composed of 11 players was experimental and 2nd (4 players) was control group. Although the sample of players is quite small, this work could point to some conclusions. Besides, its goal is also in contribution to integration of sport theory and practice, showing an example of controlling and steering the process.
