The Edinburgh Postpartum Depression Scale was used to screen depressive symptoms and the Maternal Attachment Scale was used to assess maternal attachment at the 2nd postpartum week for all women. Results: There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in terms of mean scores of Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale and Maternal Attachment Scale. In addition, the frequency of women found to be risky for the development of postpartum depression that may be risky for the development of depression in the groups (Edinburgh Postpartum Depression Scale score> 12) was also similar between the groups.
