Effect of Modulation Schemes on Performance of OFDM based Wireless Network using Smart Antenna
Journal Title: International Journal on Computer Science and Engineering - Year 2012, Vol 4, Issue 8
Abstract
In this paper we have presented the effect of different modulation Techniques (QPSK, 16QAM and 64QAM) and number of antenna elements at the receiver (Smart Antenna) on the performance of beamforming in OFDM based Wireless network. The performance of the proposed technique is tested for adaptive beam forming algorithm, Least Mean Square (LMS), improved LMS and conventional beamforming for different number of antenna elements. Proposed system not only has good ability of suppressing interference, but also significantly improves the bit-error rate (BER) performance of the system. Simulation results show that an adaptive beam forming gives the optimum performance on urban channels. SNR vs. BER, are compared using same set of parameters.

An Integer Programming-based Local Search for Large-Scale Multidimensional Knapsack Problems
Integer programming-based local search (IPbLS) is a metaheuristic recently proposed for solving linear combinatorial optimization problems. IPbLS is basically the same as the first-choice hillclimbing except for using in...
Parent Siblings Oriented Tree Quorum Protocol
In this paper, we are proposing a new replica control algorithm Parent Siblings Oriented Tree Quorum Protocol (PSTQ) for the management of replicated data in distributed database system. This algorithm imposes a logical...
Workload-aware VM Scheduling on Multicore Systems
In virtualized environments, performance interference between virtual machines (VMs) is a key challenge. In order to mitigate resource contention, an efficient VM scheduling is positively necessary. In this paper, we pro...
