EFFECTIVENESS OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF NATIONAL SPORTS ELEMENTS IN EDUCATIONAL-AND-TRAINING PROCESS OF STUDENTS IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Abstract
The questions concerning effectiveness of the implementation of national sports elements in the training process of physical education for students are considered. Today, the state actively supports the reproduction of Ukrainian folk traditions and adopts laws that promote national-patriotic education of young people. In particular, in 2017, the law on national sports was adopted, which only confirms the relevance of the issue. National sports, physical exercises and folk games were formed and refined for a long time, passed on from generation to generation, and were used as the main means of acquiring the skills and abilities necessary for survival. Nowadays, this contributes to the revival of national-cultural traditions, patriotic education and popularization of healthy lifestyle and physical culture among Ukrainians. Most of national sports are based on the traditions of the Cossacks, since this historical period had an significant impact on the formation of national-cultural traditions of Ukraine. In that period, physical exercises and games were a kind of the system of physical education. The trainings were directed towards military training and work. Sports games and competitions were also recreation and entertainment for people of all ages. The following types are officially recognized in Ukraine, that is, they are included in the register of the Ministry of Youth and Sports: hand-to-hand fight Spas, hand-to-hand fight Hopak, horting, frei-fight, Cossack fight, battles. The other types include, but they are not included in the register: combat Hopak, Asgard, Cossack double matches, and others. Ukrainian national games are also very popular. Folk movable games and competitions develop vital motor skills and habits, while they shape character, moral principles, aesthetic qualities. Games have always been used to educate the younger generation: they have formed a habit for work, hunting skills, and military training. In the educational process of physical education, you can use Ukrainian national games as the main lessons, and organize competitions on them. Especially popular are ball games. These include squad and futdball games. Each kind of national sports of Ukraine has its own history of occurrence, most of them appeared quite recently, but now they have a wide popularity among young people.
