Journal Title: 广东农业科学 - Year 2018, Vol 45, Issue 6
Abstract
"To understand the effect of different cultivation methods on yield and quality of tomato,a pot experiment was conducted with four tomato cultivars,Xinxing101 ,Jinbaolai ,kaidi Kaidi and Xiariyangguang, and three cultivation method treatments, soil cultivation(T1,CK),substrate cultivation(T2) and hydroponics cultivation(T3).The results showed that hydroponics cultivation was significantly increased the yield per plant of all tomato materials than soil cultivation ,reached 107.46%,58.62%,73.04% and 120.05%,respectively,and up to 2.07 kg,1.38 kg,0.72 kg,0.74 kg per plant than the T1 treatment, respectively. Meanwhile hydroponics cultivation had the higher sugar content, and had the lower nitrate content than soil cultivation and substrate cultivation. Substrate cultivation had the higher hardness of all tomato cultivars than the T1 and T3 treatments."
