The study examined the effects of the financial crises of 2007/2008 on the performance of the cement industry in Nigeria. The study's objectives were to examine the effects of the financial crises on the profitability of the cement industry; and the Cost of production of cement in Nigeria. The study adopted an Ex-post facto research design and used secondary data collected from the audited annual reports of three (3) sampled cement companies from 2007 - to 2017. Data collected was analyzed using the Generalized Least Square statistical technique. Specific findings showed that financial crises have significant adverse effects on the profitability of cement companies and the Cost of cement production in Nigeria.
