Effects of Tip Pruning and Mulching on Fruit Development and Yield of Guava (Psidium Guajava L) Cv. Allahabad Safeda

Abstract
Effects of tip pruning (level of tip pruning of 10cm, 15cm,20cm and control) and mulching (Black polythene mulch, Paddy straw mulch, and no mulch) of two and half years old guava cv. Allahabad Safeda. Among pruning treatments, tip pruning of 15cm with paddy straw mulch has recorded the highest number of fruits per tree at the time of harvest and yield per tree when compared to control. Tip pruning of 10cm with black polythene mulch has recorded higher fruit length, fruit breadth and fruit weight (mm) of guava cv. Allahabad Safeda.
