EFFET DES IONS NITRITES SUR LA REACTIVITE DE LA TYROSINE AU COURS DE LA CHLORATION D’UNE EAU SUPERFICIELLE ALGERIENNE

Journal Title: Larhyss Journal - Year 2016, Vol 27, Issue 27

Abstract

The objective of this study is to contribute to the knowledge of the reactivity of chlorine in the form of sodium hypochlorite on organic matter in form of aromatic amino acid (tyrosine) dissolved in surface water (Ain Dalia dam). The effect of nitrite is particularly discussed during these reactions. The experimental study presented tests for determining the potential of chlorine consumption, monitoring chlorine consumption kinetics, as well as the influence of the rate of chlorination. The results of experimental tests show that the reactivity of tyrosine is important as well in distilled water and mineralized water, but sudden a decrease in the presence of nitrite. The presence of nitrite can influence one hand the kinetics of chlorination reactions and the nature and quantity of disinfection by-products formed.
