Efficient Monitoring Of Transportation Networks by Mobile Sensors
Journal Title: International Journal for Research in Applied Science and Engineering Technology (IJRASET) - Year 2015, Vol 3, Issue 11
Abstract
Morden day traffic management systems need to be sophisticated to handle the traffic issues efficiently. We have seen in the past till the recent days that fixed sensors were used to monitor the transportation network. In this paper, we propose a mobile sensor technology to improve the traffic surveillance of transportation networks. A mobile sensor network is proposed, is compared with the traditional fixed sensor network and bring out the differences in few common characteristics among the two to show which has a better efficiency and better performance. The mobile sensor algorithm uses a hybrid 2 - stage heuristic algorithm which is based on ant colony optimisation and particle swarm optimisation. Numerical experiments are conducted and results are recorded. The results show that the mobile sensor traffic surveillance network is far more efficient in comparison with fixed sensor network in monitoring a transportation network.

Investigation of Mechanical and Welding Defect of Metal Piece Welded Through ARC and TIG Welding
To improve welding quality of mild steel plate, an automated Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding system has been developed, by which welding speed can be control during welding process. In this study, Welding of mild steel...
Synthesis and Characterization of Some Nicotinic Acid Complexes
The research deals with the preparation of some complexes of transition and non transition elements of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II),Zn(II), Cd(II) and uranium (VI) with nicotinic acid. The synthesized complexes were character...
Distribution Line Fault Detection & GSM Module Based Fault Signaling System
Any distribution network is prone to faults, and intermittency in power availability creates loss for the supplier as well as user. Majorly, a supply line can be effected by conditions of overvoltage and overcurrent, al...
