Efficient Storage Reduction of Frequency of Items in Vertical Data Layout
Journal Title: International Journal on Computer Science and Engineering - Year 2011, Vol 3, Issue 2
Abstract
The digital databases are immersed with large amount of data. The explosive growth of massive amounts of data leads to space complexity, performance degradation, scalability and time complexity. We cannot stop the incoming data, but we can fix some limitations to reduce the massive collection of data. The crux of the matter is how to accommodate all these data in an efficient manner, minimize storage space and lossless data. There are many algorithms which have been developed so far. Even though there is a cut-throat competition to satisfy all these criteria, we have developed a novelty approach in our proposed work to reduce the frequencies of items in vertical data layout .In our work, we have concentrated on Run length encoding method in applying vertical layout and moreover, we have done experimental results in very large databases

UEP based on Proximity Pilot Subcarriers with QAM in OFDM
A novel UEP (Unequal Error Protection) method is proposed that utilizes the subcarrier positions relative to pilot subcarriers in an OFDM multicarrier frame along with QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) schemes. With...
Digital Image Search & Retrieval using FFT Sectors of Color Images
Abstract- This paper presents the method developed to search and retrieve similar images from a large database. The Fourier transform is used to generate the feature vectors based on the mean values of real and imaginary...
Detection of Multiple Black hole nodes attack in MANET by modifying AODV protocol
Ad hoc Networks (MANET) is a self-configuring, infrastructure less network consists of independent mobile nodes that can communicate via wireless medium. Each mobile node can move freely in any direction, and changes the...
Channel Modeling of Human Somatosensory Nanonetwork: Body Discriminative Touch and Proprioception Perspective
Nanonetwork design and analysis has become a very interesting topic in recent years. Though this area of research is in its formative stage, it definitely posses a strong integrity in finding out numerous applications in...
Building an OSS Quality Estimation Model with CATREG
Open Source Software (OSS) has been a popular form in software development. In this paper, we use statistical approaches to derive OSS quality estimation models. Our objective is to build estimation models for the numbe...
