Abstract
In educational institutions at each of their levels, it is the job of teaching to open up strategies and methodologies that allow reaching a diversity of knowledge; The curricular design being increasingly more demanding, it is therefore important to apply the STEAM educational model, with activities aimed at achieving the expected learning of the study plans and programs, to promote the development of skills, values and attitudes in the students. basic education students. The objective of this research was to analyze the impact of the STEAM educational model on the development of logical thinking in basic education students. The methodology used was a quantitative approach, using an experimental design with a control group of 14 students and another experimental group of 14 students in the eighth year of basic education, logical skills were evaluated through standardized tests before and after implementing project-based STEAM activities. interdisciplinary. The results showed that students in the experimental group significantly improved in skills such as logical reasoning and problem solving compared to the control group, with a significantly higher average score. It is concluded that the STEAM model is effective in enhancing logical thinking, integrating creativity, collaboration and practical application of knowledge, which makes it a key tool to improve basic education in current contexts.
