Electrochemical Studies of Paraquat Adsorbed onto Crystalline Apatite
Journal Title: Leonardo Electronic Journal of Practices and Technologies - Year 2007, Vol 6, Issue 11
Abstract
The carbon paste electrode (CPE) has been used to analyze the electrochemical behavior of paraquat (PQ) adsorbed onto synthesized hydroxyapatite phosphocalcique (HAP) in K2SO4 (0.1M). The cyclic voltammetry results obtained corrobate with square wave voltammetry. The influence of variables such as the concentration of paraquat adsorbed onto apatite (PQ/HAP), and the potential scan rate was tested. X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) analysis and inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry (ICP, AES) were used for characterization of the apatite.

Performance of Palm Kernel Shells as a Partial replacement for Coarse Aggregate in Asphalt Concrete
This paper looks at the potentials of palm kernel shells as coarse aggregates in road binder courses with emphasis on strength of the asphalt concrete as given by the Marshal Stability and flow values. It was observed th...
Robust Controller Design for Speed Control of an Indirect Field Oriented Induction Machine Drive
The use of PI controllers for speed control of induction machine drives is characterized by an overshoot during tracking mode and a poor load disturbance rejection. This is mainly caused by the fact that the complexity o...
Performance Scaling of Individual SPEC INT 2006 Results for AMD Processors
High performance is a critical requirement to all microprocessors manufacturers. In this paper we describe the performance scaling trends in AMD Opteron 2000+ and AMD Opteron 8000+ series processors. The micro architectu...
Ballonet String Model of Molecules
Strings of ballonets, modelling rows of orbitals, are assembled to molecule models by crossing them properly. The ballonets at the ends of the strings of 2, 3, 4 or 5 spheres represent bonding orbitals of hydrogen with o...
The Optimal Control of Second Order Quasi-Linear Equipotential Flows
This research studies the optimal control of Laplacian group of equations of the second differential order and quasilinear or first degree equations in nature. The study categorizes the research into one- through to the...
