ELIMINATION DU PLOMB PAR ADSORPTION SUR LE KAOLIN
Journal Title: Larhyss Journal - Year 2016, Vol 27, Issue 27
Abstract
The objective of this study is to test the effectiveness of kaolin for the retention of lead in synthetic solutions. The results we obtained showed that the kinetics of retention of lead (10 mg/l) is very short. Equilibrium time reaches during 18 to 35 minutes of agitation following the dilution medium. The increase of the dose of 0.1 to 2 g/l kaolin improves the removal efficiency for Pb. The effectiveness of the treatment decreases with the increase of the initial lead content in the range of 1 to 100 mg/l Pb. Treatment is more effective at basic pH.
