Elliptic functions and integrals
Journal Title: Surveys in Mathematics and its Applications - Year 2008, Vol 3, Issue 0
Abstract
This paper presents the basic ideas and properties of elliptic functions and elliptic integrals as an expository essay. It explores some of their numerous consequences and includes applications to some problems such as the simple pendulum and the Euler rigid body motion.

Higher *-derivations between unital C*-algebras
Let A, B be two unital C*-algebras. We prove that every sequence of mappings from A into B, H = {h0,h1, ..., hm, ...}, which sat...
On the Spectrum of a Morphism of Quotient Hilbert Spaces
In this paper we define the notion of spectrum for a morphism of quotient Hilbert spaces. The definition is the same with the one given by L.Waelbroeck but the proofs that the spectrum is a compact and nonempty set are d...
Function valued metric spaces
In this paper we introduce the notion of an &#8497;-metric, as a function valued distance mapping, on a set X and we investigate the theory of &#8497;-metrics paces. We show that every metric space may be viewed...
Fixed point theorems for generalized weakly contractive mappings
In this paper several fixed point theorems for generalized weakly contractive mappings in a metric space setting are proved. The set of generalized weakly contractive mappings considered in this paper contains the family...
Upper and lower bounds of solutions for fractional integral equations
In this paper we consider the integral equation offractional order in sense of Riemann-Liouville operator<CENTER>um(t) = a(t) Iα [b(t)u(t)]+f(t)</CENTER>with m ≥...
