EMBEDDING OF AGRICULTURAL HOLDINGS IN LOCAL (REGIONAL) SYSTEMS OF BIO-BUSINESS – THE INSTITUTIONAL CONDITIONS IN OPOLE PROVINCE

Abstract
Local bio-businesses are founded on unique making use of both standard and specific resources of territories on which they are established. The aim of the paper is to point to the role of institutions in creating local/regional bio-businesses. The analysis was conducted on the basis of three dimensions of the transformation of European model of agriculture: environmental regulations, dissemination of knowledge and information, inter-organizational and social connections. The degree of rooting of institutions which manage the establishment of bio-economy in social networks of users of agricultural holdings in Opole Province was identified on the basis of survey research. The work is of the cognitive and, partially, diagnostic character.<br/><br/>
