EMBLEMS AS HIEROGLYPHS OF THE IMAGINATION. THE BLACK SQUARE BY KAZIMIR MALEVICH

Journal Title: Studia Humanistyczne AGH - Year 2017, Vol 16, Issue 4

Abstract

The article assumes a type of comparative-sensual experiment based on the concept of the esoteric emblem, and the form of artistic expression which is ‘The Black Square’ by Kazimir Malevich. By applying one concept to another, a positive result is obtained, which suggests another way of interpreting this suprematic painting, as an imaginary experience. Keywords:
