Encephalitis, Caused by NMDA-Receptors Antibodies of Neurons

Journal Title: Здоров`я дитини - Year 2013, Vol 3, Issue 46

Abstract

Encephalitis caused by NMDA-receptors antibodies of neurons is a recently determined acute and severe form of encephalitis. Its development is associated with production of antibodies to NR1- and NR2-heteromers of NMDA-receptors. The article deals with the pathogenesis, epidemiology, clinical presentation, diagnosis and approaches to treatment of this type of encephalitis.
