Journal Title: Журнал ÑтреÑÑ-физиологии и биохимии - Year 2005, Vol 1, Issue 1
Abstract

Effects of Photoperiod and Temperature on Energy Budgets and Endocrine Hormones Concentrations in Tupaia belangeri
Environmental cues play important roles in the regulation of an animal’s physiology and behavior. In the present study, we performed a factorial experiment (temperature/photoperiod) in which Tupaia belangeri was acclimat...
THE ENERGETIC FUNCTIONS OF PLANT MITOCHONDRIA UNDER STRESS
This article reviews the involvement of the mitochondrial systems, which maintain the balance of cell energy at different stress conditions. It is shown the functioning of the alternative oxidase, free fatty acids, uncou...
Screening of Salt-stress, Antioxidant Enzyme, and Antimicrobial Activity of Leave extracts of Mangroves Avicennia marina L. from Hodaidah, Yemen
In the present study the salinity stress, antioxidant enzyme and antimicrobial activities of leaf extract of Avicennia marinawere investigated. As visualized from SDS-PAGE, no differences was found in number of protein b...
SERUM AND URINARY ELECTROLYTES LEVEL IN THE SUBJECTS OF TWO DIFFERENT ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
The serum electrolytes, Sodium and Potassium are the important macronutrient to the human and it is supplied to the body via the solid and liquid food materials. These electrolytes have different roles in the body and th...
Physiological Response of the Green Algae Ulva lactuca (Chlorophyta) to Heavy Metals Stress
To monitor physiological changes induced by heavy metals contamination on the marine algae Ulva lactuca (Chlorophyta), laboratory experiments were performed. Physiological effects of four heavy metals (Cu, Pb, Zn...
