Energy Based Optimal Relaying in Heterogeneous Radio Access Networks
Journal Title: INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF COMPUTER TRENDS & TECHNOLOGY - Year 2014, Vol 7, Issue 3
Abstract
Due to recent trends in mobile communication system, much attention has be given to heterogeneous networks in which a mobile equipment is able to access multiple networks that are present in a locality. Here each random access networks (RANs) operates at different carrier frequency having different transmission bandwidth whose selection is based on the Quality Of Service (QOS) of each network. In this paper, we examine the efficient use of multiple radio access technologies (RATs) in cooperative network. By taking into account the circuit power consumption of each relay nodes, an optimal relaying scheme is introduced which outclasses the direct communication as well as the traditional best select relaying schemes producing effective packet transfer with reduced packet loss and increased throughput.

Automatic Generation of Standard Deviation Attribute Profiles for Spectral–Spatial Classification of Remote Sensing Data
In recent years, the development of high-resolution remote sensing image extends the visual field of the terrain features. Back Propagation neural network is widely used in remote sensing image classification in recent y...
An Efficient Web Prediction Model Using Modified Markov Model with ANN
Web prediction is a classification problem in which we try to predict the preceding set of Web pages in which a user may visit supported on the knowledge of the previously visited pages. While serving the Internet user’s...
RW-Homeomorphism in Topological Spaces
A bijection f:(X,)→(Y, σ) is called regular weakly homeomorphism if f and f[sup]-1[/sup] are rw-continuous. Also we introduce new class of maps namely rw-homeomorphism. This class of maps is closed under composition of...
Design and Analysis of Power Efficient PTL Half Subtractor Using 120nm Technology
In the designing of any VLSI System, arithmetic circuits play a vital role, subtractor circuit is one among them. In this paper a Power efficient Half-Subtractor has been designed using the PTL technique. Subtractor cir...
Minimizing Spurious Patterns Using Association Rule Mining
Most of the clustering algorithms extract patterns which are of least interest. Such pattern consists of data items which usually belong to widely different support levels. Such data items belonging to different support...
