Energy Efficient and Path Stability for RoutingProtocol in Ad-Hoc Network

Abstract

In Mobile ad-hoc networks, the nodes which help in configuring a path works as a router with numerous mobility. If the moving nodes break the path, a new path has to be discovered. As far as possible the nodes which have high mobility should not be allowed in configuring path. In this paper, we purport an algorithm which by collecting and managing the information of mobility, the nodes with high mobility is excluded from building a path, this algorithm helps in providing more stable paths. In order to extend the network life time, we find out an efficient routing protocol with limited consumption of power in the network of mobile nodes. In order to manage and collect the information of mobility we use MRecord and Relieve Fields in the routing table and we also added ERecord field in the routing table to keep track the energy of the path by extending current AOMDV. We add Mbl Field to Route Reply (RREP) message to adapt the collected information to configure the path. By using the ns-2 simulator the performance of proposed protocol is analyzed, and compared with the present AOMDV.
