Energy Efficient Techniques In Virtualized Data Center: A Survey
Journal Title: International Journal of Computer Science & Engineering Technology - Year 2016, Vol 7, Issue 4
Abstract
Energy efficiency simply means that how efficiently energy can be used or consumed by any virtualized datacenters providing cloud services. Main aim of energy efficiency is to reduce the amount of energy consumed or required to provide a set products and services without degrading the QoS requirements. Virtualization is key technology for cloud computing environment. The data centers consists of computing elements such as Virtual Machines (VM), Physical Machines (PM) or host nodes that consume huge energy amount during computation and hence, motivated industries as well as allied scientific society develops the various techniques such as VM migration, VM & Server Consolidation. In this paper, I survey the latest Energy efficient techniques developed for cloud computing environment.

Linear Time Sorting Algorithm for Large Integer Data-set
Dealing with the data is the basic task of almost every computer application. When we want to manipulate data sets then it is always easy to do that with sorted data sets. Today’s computer applications are dealing with b...
Enhancing the security and routing reliability for achieving efficient data transmission in mobile Ad Hoc Networks
A Mobile Ad hoc Network is a wireless network in which a central management scheme is not available; this causes nodes to dynamically self-organize each one playing both router and node’s roles. Compared to the other typ...
AUTOMATION OF HEALTH RECORD MANAGEMENT USING SOME SELECTED HOSPITALS IN SOUTH WESTERN NIGERIA AS CASE STUDY
We live in an era when manual systems are becoming obsolete and being replaced by e-platforms for enhanced efficiency and better productivity. In this paper, an attempt was made to develop an automated record management...
Cost Effective Energy Aware Coverage Preserving Protocol for Wireless Sensor Network
Wireless sensor networks are formed by small sensor nodes communicating over wireless links without using a fixed network infrastructure. Each of the sensor nodes is capable of sensing, processing, and transmitting envir...
STOCHASTIC PERFORMANCE MODELING OF MANETS IMPLEMENTING AODV UNDER HIDDEN-EXPOSED TERMINAL PROBLEM
A Mobile Ad-hoc NETwork (MANET) is a collection of wireless mobile nodes forming a self-configuring network without using any existing infrastructure. MANETs catch the great attention of researchers because of its unique...
