ENTERTAINING BROADCASTS AND UPDATING OF A LEXICON AT STUDYING RUSSIAN AS FOREIGN

Abstract
The matter concerns one of aspects of practice of teaching Russian as a foreign. In the centre of attention there are features of work with audio materials, which are presented in the form of the speech in some entertaining broadcasts of the Estonian radio on Russian. In particular, the perception was analyzed by students of the speech sounding in programs of youth channel "Energia". In total it has been heard six hours of a broadcasting time, which are two airs of the specified channel. The basic attention in the article is given understanding and then to learning by students of new words and idiomatic expressions, with the purpose of updating of a vocabulary and improvement of speech skills. Broadcasts which it was offered to hear, had following features, characteristic for the majority of broadcasts of entertaining property: selection of the entertaining facts as a rule from sphere of show business, jokes, interactive interrogations (in particular, by phone), music etc. Speech sounding on the air often has features spontaneous; clauses, halts, repetitions, an unusual word order, greater speed of pronouncing of the statement, etc. therefore are possible. Besides speech of leading entertaining broadcasts often happens is sated by elements of slang, words of the colloquial sphere, specific idiomatic and display of realities unfamiliar to the listening student. In such situation the student studying language as foreign, gets in inconvenient position. Work on listening and the analysis of the matter of broadcasts is effective only at close cooperation with the teacher. Its function consists in the following. Together with the student it listens to the same first got fragment of broadcast (it can be a record of broadcasts). Then it in dialogue with the student tries to find out or explain sense and contextual features of the sounded not clear word or an idiom. That is gives the necessary comment. It is necessary to note, that the fragment of broadcast should not be greater. Its length - about three minutes, can be and more or less depending on competence of the student. In the text of article fragments of broadcasts which caused the greatest difficulties at understanding of sense told are resulted. Comparisons of interpretation of word meanings and idioms in the dictionary and in the concrete statement are resulted also. As a result of such work students have an opportunity considerably to expand representations about real functioning words and idioms of modern Russian.
