ENVIRONMENTAL ASPECTS OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF RURAL TERRITORIAL COMMUNITIES BASED ON ACTIVE-ORIENTED APPROACH

Abstract
The article discovers economic concepts of assets and resources, their interaction and meaning for the development of territorial communities. The system of use of land resources at the level of rural territories is analyzed. The state of the natural environment of regions in Ukraine as key natural assets of rural settlements is analyzed. Urgent challenges, lacks and gaps of rural development programs of territorial communities in different regions of Ukraine are defined. It is concluded that the defined problems of communities’ development depend on features of their placement and remoteness from large urban centers. Accordingly, three types of the communities are identified: economically integrated, medium (transitional) and remote (peripheral).
