Abstract
The objective of research — an analysis of epidemiological aspects of diabetes mellitus (DM) type 1 and 2 in Tashkent. Materials and methods. Analysis of DM register was performed on the basis of the map registers in Tashkent. To do this, there has been used a unified national register map, developed by employees of the center, taking into account the guidelines of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes, and the experience of other countries. In Tashkent, 16,356 patients are registered, their data were entered into a specialized computer program and processed accordingly. The course of disease and the treatment of registered patients were analyzed, among them 1,225 were suffering from DM type 1, 15,131 — DM type2. Results. In the city, 1,225 patients with DM type 1 are registered, which is 7.5 % of the total population with DM. The average fasting glucose level was 10.9 mmol/l in DM type 1 and 8.8 mmol/l — in type 2 DM. Determination of total cholesterol (TC) was made only in 3,144 (20.8 %) patients, among them 2,380 (91.4 %) had TС level more than 4.8 mmol/l. Triglyceride content was evaluated in 507 (3.34 %) patients, in 374 (91.9 %) of them it was more than 1.7 mmol/l. Conclusions. The vast majority of patients with DM is in a state of decompensation in terms of glycemic control. To date, the provision of medical and preventive care for patients with DM in Tashkent do not meet modern criteria, whereby there is a high risk of development and progression of both cardiovascular disease and chronic microvascular diabetic complications.
