Epistemelogical Basis of Ta’wil in Tafsir: The Case of Abu’l-Barakat Al-Nasa

Abstract
The information that commentary knowledge uses is not ordinary knowledge; but whether it is text or commentary, this information is speci c information that is classi ed according to their nature, functions and values, with the realities inspected by multiple mechanisms. The distinctions that arise in the transmission-intellectual dialectic such as narrative-order, commentary- interpretation, text- extraction of judgment, explanation- conclusive evidence or explanation-mysticism are the main categories of the nature and method of the information that commentary works. Moreover, these concepts are theoretical representations that show that the information they use is not left raw but is subjected to analytical and synthetic processes and scienti c processes, and is not only authentic and experiential at the same time, but contemplated at the same time. For this reason, as in all historical texts, it is necessary to know the conception of knowledge and being that shapes the mind of the author along with the essence of a commentary. Because the text, the article and the attached is integrated with the historical and cultural medium. This requires the contributions of ontology, knowledge sociology and philosophy as well as biography and history.
