ESSENCE AND FEATURES OF OPERATIONS IN THE PHARMACEUTICAL MARKET

Abstract
In today’s global economy the production of pharmaceutical products is one of the promising industries. Over the last few years the global pharmaceutical market shows steady growth. The main factors of the growth market are the power increase competition among manufacturers of generics and increase consumption of cheaper drugs. Domestic pharmaceutical marketis characterized by the tendency to active development. By volume it ranks second in the CIS after Russia and compared with other areas of the economy shows stability and dynamism. Approximately forty percent of all investment in Ukraine comes to the pharmaceutical industry, which is in fifth place among the thirty most favorable destinations for investment. At the same time several major producers of these products are viewed in the Ukrainian market of pharmaceutical production monopoly. In terms of today’s Ukraine is in the acute need for competition in the market, and not its monopolization. Primarily, this means reducing prices and improving service quality and quality of the drug and the possibility of foreign business and Ukrainian business develop freely and have equal access to all resources. Last year was quite difficult for our country, it was suffered serious problems for the entire health care system of Ukraine, including for business entities in the pharmaceutical market. The constant aggravation of the armed conflict that led to warfare in the east of the country, political crisis following the election and change of government, the economic downturn and reduce the purchasing power of Ukraine, currency devaluation and fluctuation of the dollar – and that’s not all risk factors affected the functioning of the pharmaceutical market in such a difficult period. But despite all the difficulties encountered pharmaceutical market continues to develop and perform its functions.
