Results and discussion. The main areas of optimization of quality of life of children and adolescents with obesity are changing the stereotypes and environment that enables development of obesity, as well as improving quality of medical service for children with this disease. For implementation of measures concerning elimination of adverse living environment factors in practice it is necessary, based on legal acts and strategies, for actions to be coordinated and a common tactic of solving the problem to be developed at state level. Based on this, appropriate administrative decisions should be made concerning control of marketing activity and recommendations should be developed for all structures and organizations related to the area of foodservice, commerce, planning and development of territories adjacent to children’s institutions, in order to provide an environment that facilitates healthy lifestyle. Participation of structures such as local government bodies, general education institutions, public organizations and medicalpreventive institutions at all levels is necessary. Presented in the article are priority measures for solving this problem within scope of these structures. Conclusions. Combination of efforts by various parties concerning the problem of childhood obesity and implementation of complex measures will contribute to improvement of quality of life and adaptation of children with this pathology in society.
