Estimation of Inadequate Monthly Current Data for Zamanti River-Ergenusagi Station

Abstract
The continuity of the streamflow data is of great importance to design practices on rivers. The missing measured data from the gaging stations can normally be estimated using those of collected from the hydrometeorogically similar stations in the same river basin. In this study, the missing monthly streamflow data of Gaging Station Nr: 1806 (Zamanti River-Ergenusağı) in the Seyhan Basin is estimated using different artificial neural network methods, namely, feed-forward back-propagation neural network (FFBPNN), radial based artificial neural network (RBANN) and generalized regression neural network (GRNN). It is found that the FFBPNN method provides slightly better results compared to those from the other two.
