Ethnocultural values in the context transformations of society

Abstract
The purpose of the study is to determine the trends of transformational changes in the society and the functioning of ethno-cultural values in such conditions. The methodology of the research consists in applying analytical, sociological, culturological and comparative methods in the analysis and study of sociocultural changes in society and the functioning of ethno-cultural values in this context. Scientific novelty consists in characterizing the current changes in society, due to both external and internal factors and the analysis of the place and role of ethno-cultural values in this process. Conclusions. As a result of the research it was established that the understanding of the phenomenon of the transformation of human values in the process of historical development of society, in the transition from one type to another, lies in the fact that the values that were formed and dominated at a certain stage of social development, later proved incompetent in connection with new public demands. The same should be noted for ethno-cultural values. Their main mission in the conditions of civilizational development of societies has changed, giving way first to other values of the technological information era, and then acquired a new meaning in the paradigm of being sense -determination. At the same time, in the situation of socio-cultural and value anomie, the protective and regulative functions of ethno-cultural values are often activated, which is reflected in the corresponding human reactions, including in the process of communicative activity, which has particularly clear manifestations in the Internet communication space
