Euro-integration processes and their effect on the competitiveness of animal production

Abstract
The article presents the results of research on the competitiveness of livestock products in the context of European integration processes. The analysis of the competitiveness of domestic livestock production was made, the actual issues of meat exports were determined. The ways of raising the competitiveness of products of the livestock sector and increasing its role in ensuring food security of the country in the conditions of European integration are substantiated. The world experience on the development of competitive livestock production, its support at the state level and proper financing has been studied. It is proposed to intensify the introduction of safety and product quality control systems at enterprises. It is advisable to transform the policy of state support of livestock enterprises and create conditions for strengthening the competitive advantages of domestic products in order to ensure the proper level of food security of the country. Further European integration of domestic livestock requires significant modernization of the enterprises of the industry, which, in turn, requires state support, namely, the improvement of the mechanism of state support for commodity producers, the provision of food insecurity through the instruments of foreign economic regulation available within the framework of the WTO and the future agreement on a free trade area with the EU. Countries in this segment of the food market, protecting it from poor quality imported products through its quota. Taking into account the possible prospects of entering European markets, it is expedient to transform the policy of state support of livestock enterprises and create conditions for strengthening the competitive advantages of domestic products in order to ensure an adequate level of food security of the country.
