Abstract

Security is an important system and process function in Europe, a condition of the systems functioning and of the dynamic balance keeping needed of a living inside a compelx environment, always changing, tensioned, and competitive, with intricate evolutions and, most of the times, unforeseeable ones. Security has an economic- financial dimension, as well by the fact that economic power generates security and the poverty generates insecurity, uncertainty and anxiety. In order to provide stability and security in Europe an integrative, complex proces was started, not only with the real economy but also with the monetary one. The economic and monetary process has visible advantages for the European Union financial security, assuring the monetary stability by accepting the unique currency – Euro - that has the potential to become one of the main transaction currencies, at the world level, just like yen, leading, in this manner, to the increase of the international economic stability and to the international trade stimulation. At present, the economic and monetary Union is an achieved economic event that assures the economical and financial security of all the EU member states.
