EUROPEAN UNION: ACHIEVEMENTS, PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS OF DEVELOPMENT

Abstract
The European Union is one of the largest associations of highly developed European countries. The purpose of which is strengthening the domestic economy, stabilizing the political situation, high social standards. While the foreign policy is directed on the strengthening of ties between the countries of association and with other countries. The economic devel- opment of the association, indicators of GDP and GDP per capita are analyzed in the article. The largest economic and trading partners are researched. The state of cooperation between the EU and Ukraine is described.
