EUROPEANIZATION MUNICIPAL MANAGEMENT OF DOMESTIC WASTE IN UKRAINE

Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the europeanization of the municipal waste management system in Ukraine. The author outlines the existing system of municipal waste management in Ukraine. In addition, the impact of the reform of local self-government and territorial organization of power, as well as the management of waste management on the europeanization of municipal waste management in Ukraine is analyzed. The management of household waste in Ukraine is a separate function of public administration of Ukraine. Any function of public administration can not be presented without the actors of public administration par¬ticipating in its implementation. Executive authorities, Crimean authorities, local self-government bodies and subjects of delegated authority are involved performing the function. Taking into account that the mantioned actors of public administration have different competences, it is possible to mark state, republican, municipal and private household waste management in Ukraine. In this study we would like to pay attention to the municipal management of domestic household waste in Ukraine, the interest to it is connected with the fact that it is undergoing reform, taking into account the Ukrain¬ian National Waste Management Strategy until 2030 adopted in 2017. The purpose of the article is to study Europeanization of municipal waste management in Ukraine. To achieve this research objective, the following tasks need resolving: 1) to outline the municipal waste manage¬ment system which is acting in Ukraine; 2) to determine the impact of the reform of local self-government and territorial organization of power in Ukraine on municipal waste management; 3) to find out directions for improvement of municipal waste management introduced by the Ukrainian National Strategy of Waste Man¬agement until 2030.
