Journal Title: INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF SCIENTIFIC STUDY - Year 2017, Vol 5, Issue 3

Abstract

Background: Acute pancreatitis is a common and the most unpredictable of abdominal emergencies. Materials and Methods: The present study “to evaluate the role of various early predictors and computed tomography in assessing the severity of acute pancreatitis” was conducted in the Postgraduate Department of General Surgery, Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences and Hospital, Jammu. 40 patients were included in the study irrespective of age and sex of the patients. A full consent for the study was obtained from each patient separately after explaining completely about the study.
