Journal Title: Міжнародний ендокринологічний журнал - Year 2015, Vol 6, Issue 70
Abstract
We observed 309 children, 191 adolescents and 115 adult patients with diabetes mellitus type 1, from 6 regions of Uzbekistan, as well as 28 healthy individuals. To evaluate the effectiveness of training children and adolescents under the new structured program, on the basis of a questionnaire including 30 key issues, we have revealed that the rate of glycated hemoglobin (НbА1с) has a high degree of correlation with the level of knowledge obtained under the new structured program. In Surkhandaria, Andizhan regions and Republic of Karakalpakstan, there are not maintained the structure and duration of the training. The coefficient of НbА1с correlation with knowledge level showed significantly high negative correlation. The lower the rate of correct answers, the higher the level of НbА1с. The frequency of achieving the target level of НbА1с was highest in the Khorezm and Namangan regions in children and adolescents, as only in these diabetes schools education is corresponds to the program in the structure and duration.
